Very cool. Wonder why it never caught on and we only use tracks these days. The steering "box" seems to be the old tough part. Thanks for the clip.

Chrysler made one also called the 'marsh screw'.....I,m not sure which company made it but there were also experiments with a Forward control series 2/2a Landrover which had retractable screws and normal wheels, so that the screws could come into play when the going got rough. For the concept not to be kept on, there must be some problem that wasn,t shown in the vid...(maybe as said the sideslope ability is not good/dangerous?)

Wear on the screws in snow was probably not too bad, but in mud the replacement costs would be high. Regards, Kevin
