So you've got the Halflinger and the Pinzgauer, but do you have the Oerlikon cannon too?

These guys are dedicated to preserving the Cold War Swiss militaria. Pretty dang nice 710m Fkw (radio)

Not sure how google translate will work, but look through the galleries that start with "3" and "4" there's some fun stuff.

Cold war era- Swiss Army is what gave it its reputation of "best army compared to country population" (although Israelis may -and should- object...). After cold war they introduced "Army 95" (as you can guess, in 1995) with a number of reforms and a massive downsizing which is continuing now.

The Oerlikon anti-aircraft 20mm cannon is what light AA was using when I did my service (as a radio guy for a light AA battalion). The cannons were pulled by Unimogs and Pinzgauers were used for other troops (HQ, air observers, signals etc...).
After a few years, they reduced the number of such battalions and ditched the WW2-era guns in favor of Stinger missiles. At the same time, we switched to new camo pattern (no more red specks in the new "alpenflage"), new radios, new assault rifles and... new vehicles: G-Wagens and Duros only, except for the ambulance (finished my service before I could see the Pinz ambulance's replacement).

These guys seem to really miss their time in the military... :|
