I took the truck out for a drive again today and I decided to stop at a privately run Military Vehicle Museum about 35KM from my home. The museum, The Swords and Ploughshares Museum, is run by an active CF Artillery Major who has collected vehicles since he was young. I first met him when I bought my Iltis and participated in two Canada Day Parades. Mike mentioned to me that while he was stationed in Africa with the UN, years ago, he had a few Pinzgauers assigned to him. He even noticed that the bed of my truck shows white paint, meaning it probably did UN duty at some point. He had some Cadet's cleaning up his yard, so I also took a bunch of them for a ride in the Pinz. They had a great time! I thought you guys might like to see some pics of his yard and Quonset shed...
Thanks for sharing, looks like a cool place. I have toyed with the idea of painting my truck lt gray in UN color and have a set of UN magnet signs made for the side.
