For those who drive, these little vibration traps we all call pinzgauers, a lot and have the exhaust bolts loosen up. Has anyone tried these lock washers

I have fought exhaust bolts loosening up ever since I bought my pinz in '04. Am getting real tired of buying the studs, washers and nuts. The new stainless version SAV sells work OK but I still loose a few every now and again.

Going to pick up a few of these and see how they work unless someone has tried them with no luck.

I used them on another project where I kept having bolts loosen up and they worked well. I haven't had the problem you mentioned with the exhaust bolts. Just lucky I guess.

I got the NORD-LOCs from McMaster-Carr here: http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-lock-washers/=hnjfoa

Let us know how they work out.

Cool.

I know nylocks are probably out, due to the heat, but would a prevailing torgue nut not work too? I used one when I did the "doo" on my KLR, and it was a critical part.

In the good old days we would drill the bolts and wire the nuts on.....they might come a little loose but could not fall off.
