Oops!

Post by sixbennetts »

So, I'm using the site Marinetraffic to track the ship, "Atlantic Compass", as it pulls into Goteborg Sweden to pick up our Tgb11.

This isn't a good sign, huh?

:D

Naw, it's no big deal; I'm a Bosun on cargo ships and we do that sort of thing all the time to match our scheduled arrival time. Sometimes ships will even zig-zag in order to peel off some speed. I miss working on the car-carriers, those are fun; nice ports and lots of interesting vehicles to look at.

Yeah, I guess you can't just pull into a rest stop! I just thought it looked funny for a ship that regularly goes to a certain port to blow by it and have to turn around and go back! Like his wife was sitting next to him, holding the map.

"WHY won't you just pull over and ask somebody? "

Yeah, I'm not worried about it at all, just thought it looked funny! I'm trying to decide whether it eases the anticipation or just makes it worse.
