Carburetor rebuild

Post by Dogslovetrucks »

Before and after. Rebuilt by National Carburetors in Jacksonville FL (904-636-9400). Cost was $125 each with me providing kits from SAV. I'll hopefully get them back on this weekend and will post an update of how they work :)

SCARY!

How were they shipped?? Lot's of cases of damage documented within this forum, and the solenoids are a huge red flag.

Scary? How so?

National Carb is 10 min from my work- I dropped them off. Installed the carbs last night- didn't have time to hook up linkage or to balance, but it runs like a sewing machine! Will get time to test drive this weekend but I'm really impressed with the build.

Got ya.. Pick up is a different story.

Lots of horror stories of serious carb damage by shipping with the solenoids installed.
