PAINT

Post by krick3tt »

I carry a rattle can of olive camo paint from Ace hardware to spray over scratches that I discover on the pinz. Not a perfect match, as it is slightly more flat that the pinz color, but it helps to avoid rusting the scratched area.

I sent an e-mail to rapcoparts to see if they had a color match for RAL 6014 (Yellow Olive) and have not recieved an answer yet. I will keep you posted if I get a color from them.

The now increasingly apparent concern as to the lack of availability in the Pinz Community of paint for Pinzgauers that are able to conteract the ever growing threat of IR, chemical/biological attack is something that has deeply concerned me for several years.

I am gratified that it is becoming a mainstream news item for those most at risk, ie. the innocent unprotected Pinz owner.

If we band together we will be able to get Federal funding that help us in the repainting expense of our favorite vehicle.

Why shouldn't we have new paint, just like all those greedy Lexus drivers?

Too funny! I could use flat Rasta Purple and Seafoam Green!
(my wife would love that!) Trouble with those colors is the truck then becomes an exercise in extreme camoflage! Old folks see it, young folks think it is cool and don't see it
