some of us would love efi but aren't as talented as you to install it even after talking to you on the phone i still can't seem to figure it out. It does seem like the pinz crowd in general is spending more money than when i bought mine 4 years ago.Scott seems to be putting out some nice ones lately. from what i have seen the ones that are saying the pinz owners are cheap are the ones offering crap and complain when no one buys it or has there truck serviced there. and Jim i am not talking about you( your rims seemed to be popular). Scott even seems to be coming up with some new items to sell (springs) if i hadn't allready bought a set from some one in AZ i would place an order
Jim your truck doesn't look to stock the rear looks a little different and i didn't know the m came stock with a heater

I added the heater, it was CHEAP and easy to install, although not as nice as a BN4 or wabasto. The whole project was less than $150
As far as other mods, I have of course EFI, a 24V coffee maker onboard air compressor, tinted DOT glass Garmin GPS , reciever hitch, and soon to be installed a set of Light Force HID "Off Road Lights"

The ones I have looked at along with a few others on the board is the Swampy http://www.swampy.net/ When I contacted them and told them what I was wanting to use if for they did not think it would be all the efficient. At the time I contacted them I was considering the entire 712 but I would think the cab only would be fine. It works ok in the cabins of small boats when temps and humidity are right for evap cooling. I tried to find an old VW swamp cooler to try out and even drew up some plans for a unit to fit on the screen between the cab and passenger area with a scoop from the top. The whole cooling thing took a backseat to the design build of the armor, which I felt was much more important considering my Pinz driving habits.
Would be nice if someone would try one and let us know. Those of us in the dry heat climates should gain some advantages from these units.

What a really neat 712! Did the rails and the exo-skeleton come from you all's guy out there in AZ? I'm sorry I can never remember if he is Tony or Tim and since the old site is gone I can't even go back and look.
The fuel tank appears different than some of the other extra capacity after market ones I've seen. Where did that come from, if you don't mind the question?
The half cap over the rear is another good idea. Very nice truck.

The tank and cage were on it when I bought it,the front mask weighs around 150 lbs without the winch (I can pick it up and move it),the rest of the cage can be lifted with some grunting by 2 guys,I suspect 350 lbs.
The fuel tank was built by the previous owner,He has a fuel tank fab shop in Phoenix-holds 30 gals.
I really have no idea what it weighs,I figure it has an additional 900 lbs over stock with all the adds.
Also for you guys looking at 24v winches,this one is a Harbor Freight 9K and it has been tested several times in various Pinz related issues
. I put two x-tra yellow tops in the tool box just for the winch.They are maintained by a roof mounted solar panel and charge controller-simple and cheap!

Erik I too have the same springs in my 712, no more sagging. There are many ways to solve Pinz related problems, not all of them come out of Ca.
We are still waiting to see Mark try out the exo cage.

don't dog those guy's in cal i think jim and scott are doing great things remeber scott has a guy in mesa helping him out, in between bong hits ( and scott before you get pist i'm just tring to be funny) i'm sure some of the state spends more time than just smoking dope, and living off the rest of use
i'm sure jim and scott have no more than twelve illegals working for them

WOW! That's some pretty innovative thought in all of that. The guages above the windshield are a super idea. It makes me wonder just how much more flexible a roof would be over the cab versus the rag top.
Still really covet that gas tank and exo-skelelton.
