Fuel pump replacement
Fuel pump replacement
I will be replacing my fuel pump in a couple of days, is it straight forward or is there anything I should NOT do. Input appreciated.

Re: Fuel pump replacement
Super easy. If you read in the service manual there's a procedure for the pushrod clearance, but I didn't find any need to adjust mine when I changed the pump.
While you're at it, be sure to check your hoses and the filter.
Oh, and pay attention to the torque specs so you don't overtighten the pump to the crankcase.

Re: Fuel pump replacement
for a 1:1 reolacement follow the previous instructions
if you want to save money, you can also go for a VW beetle pump; it fits exactly
and if you want to start immediately, get yourself an electric pump.
select the Hardi 18824 and close the hole in the engine with a piece of steel and two gaskets.
You won't regret it
