Looks like the conversion is coming along very nicely. I just noticed that you are planning to put your lithium batteries on the floor near the transmission access plate. I have noticed that cargo on the floor in that area gets quite hot from the proximity to the exhaust, heater, etc.. You may find some insulation to be necessary or even relocation of the batteries. I would hate to not mention it and hear that something unpleasant happened. Good luck with the project! -Cheers!

Thanks for pointing this out.
The floor is insulated around the battery. And I planned for a ventilation of the electric box (which connects to the battery box) so I can remove excess heat. I see my battery can handle discharge up to 60C. But good to know. I'll probably build an extra air gap. Thanks.

Shouldn't you line the walls of your housing with a carpet or PVC tiles, for example?
to avoid excessive abrasion of the TPU of your tank on the aluminum of the box.
watch out for protruding rivet heads
irrelevant
if you had already planned it!

Good questions. I have not used rivets but low profile round screws which the head inside the box. Then I covered the heads with EPDM or foam tape.
Now, the aluminium sheet on the inside is flat and smooth. I'm not sure there will be a lot of abrasion on the PU. Maybe I can grease the contact surfaces, or put anti abrasion tape? The bladder once full is very snug inside the box, so there will be only small movements possible between the PU and the walls. I filled it with water now to test, I will then inspect it regularly.

Last week I took my first real trip with my converted Pinz.
Everything went well! No problems with the Pinz.
I visited a forested area in northern Italy that was for sale and needed an off-road vehicle to get there. I asked the owner if I could stay overnight. It was a beautiful place, very quiet. I drove over the Simplon Pass in Switzerland, mostly going up in fourth gear, sometimes in fifth or third.
On the other side, I went down using engine braking, but with my fuel cut-off system activated, so no fuel consumption! Overall, I used 14 liters per 100 km, quite nice. 500 km round trip, and I didn't have to refuel during the entire trip because I used one of my fuel bladder, cool. Good engine temperature. Warm shower works well. I'm satisfied.
